Findlay wins: OneBC’s independent lane now matters even more
May 31, 2026 · iVoteOneBC research desk
Kerry-Lynne Findlay has been elected leader of the Conservative Party of BC. For Dallas Brodie and OneBC supporters, that makes the next fact-based update clear: the reported Yuri Fulmer accord did not activate through a Fulmer leadership win, and OneBC’s independent accountability lane now matters even more.
The leadership result changes the alliance math, but it does not erase the issues that made OneBC relevant: property rights, DRIPA accountability, family policy, public safety, lower taxes, and democratic reform.
In fact, the result may make Dallas Brodie’s role sharper. If the BC Conservatives now move under Findlay’s leadership, British Columbians need to see which promises become concrete, which unity questions are answered, and whether voters who rallied around OneBC’s harder accountability message are treated as partners or afterthoughts.
That is where Brodie has an advantage. She has already taken political risk, built an independent platform, put town halls on the calendar, and kept difficult files in public view. Supporters should credit that courage without pretending the May 30 result delivered something it did not.
